Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
Approx 3,000 miles driven since we began
Saw this at a Marathon gas station. While I didn’t sign up for their app, you might say we’re participating in the program anyway.
The Customs lady loved Abby but wasn’t allowed to take a card.
After she asked if I have any weapons with me, I do not, other than the bear spray which I declared, she asked if I owned any guns. I said I do and she asked what they are. I told her. I figured “None of your business lady” would have gotten me either strip searched of booted from Canada before entering more than a few meters.
In the States we have the right to bear arms, and it’s Constitutionally protected in the form of the Second Amendment.
Later at the oil change place I told this story, and a few others. The young 24 year old man said “We’re not allowed to own guns anymore.”
I love Canada. I love Canadians. Their government however, has been weighed in the balances and found wanting.

Tomorrow on to the nicest and very much “High end” Travelodge in Strathmore, Alberta, east of Calgary. The next day we’ll return to the Illecillewaet campground in British Columbia, in the Selkirk Mountains. The temperature there is currently 38 degrees.
Do something fun this summer. It’s all about shared experience(s)!
God bless!
